Bangabandhu T20 Cup: Shakib and Mahmudullah Khulna, Mushfiqur in Dhaka

Sports Desk:The players draft of Bangabandhu T20 Cup is going on at La Meridian Hotel in the capital. The players' draft is aimed at dividing the 157 players into five teams after the preliminary selection. Where five cricketers were placed in the best i.e. ‘A’ grade. Two of these five have fallen into the same team again.

Jamcon Khulna has picked Shakib Al Hasan for the second post in the first round of the Players' Draft. Later in the second round, Khulna took another 'A' grade player Mahmudullah Riyadh. Besides, among other 'A' grade players, Mushfiqur Rahim has been taken by Beximco Dhaka, Tamim Iqbal has gone to Fortune Barisal and Mostafizur Rahman has been replaced by Gazi Group in Chittagong. Minister Group Rajshahi did not field any 'A' grade player. However, Rajshahi has picked a pace bowling all-rounder in 'B' grade.
Fortune Barisal has taken one-time star cricketer Mohammad Ashraful. Apart from this, Taskin Ahmed, Afif Hossain Dhruv, Mehedi Hasan Miraj and Irfan Shukkur have been taken to Barisal. After Mostafiz, Liton Das, Mohammad Mithun and Soumya Sarkar were taken to Chittagong. Mushfiqur's partner in Dhaka is Rubel Hossain. It may be mentioned that the remuneration of five icon cricketers and 'A' grade players has been fixed at Rs 15 lakh. Grade B (21) cricketers are valued at Rs 10 lakh. ‘C’ grade (23) cricketers have been priced at Rs 6 lakh and ‘D’ grade (106) cricketers have been priced at Rs 4 lakh.
