International Desk: Many more Palestinians have been killed in the barbaric Israeli attack on the occupied Palestinian territory of Gaza. With this, the total number of victims in the valley has exceeded 37 thousand 650. In addition, more than 86,000 Palestinians have been injured in this attack since October last year. China's state news agency Xinhua reported this information in a report on Tuesday (June 25) night.
According to the report, the number of Palestinians killed in the ongoing Israeli attack in the Gaza Strip has increased to 37,658, the health authorities of the Strip said on Tuesday. According to a statement from the ministry, 32 Palestinians were killed and 139 wounded in Israeli army attacks in the last 24 hours. In addition, since the beginning of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict in October 2023, the total number of injured in Gaza has reached 86 thousand 237 people.
Gaza's health authorities also warned in a press statement on Tuesday of acute shortages in the supply of medicines and medical equipment needed to continue their services. The statement called on international organizations to intervene quickly and provide essential medicines and medical equipment to save the lives of the sick and injured.
In a separate statement, Hamas accused the Israeli government of deliberately targeting innocent civilians and "challenging" all international laws, norms and humanitarian values by carrying out the worst genocide against Palestinians. Israel has continued its brutal attacks on the besieged territory, despite a UN Security Council resolution essentially demanding an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.
It should be noted that since the unprecedented cross-border attack by Hamas on October 7, Israel has been carrying out continuous air and ground attacks on the Gaza Strip. Thousands of buildings including hospitals, schools, refugee camps, mosques, churches have been damaged or destroyed by Israeli attacks. In addition, more than two million residents have been forced to leave their homes due to Israeli aggression. Basically the Israeli invasion has reduced Gaza to rubble.
According to the United Nations, about 85 percent of Gaza's Palestinians have been displaced by Israel's brutal offensive. And with acute shortages of food, clean water and medicine, all of Gaza is now food insecure. In addition, 60 percent of the infrastructure in the besieged territory has been damaged or destroyed. Israel has already been accused of genocide at the International Court of Justice.
