Deadly Israeli attack on Nuseirat refugee camp in Gaza, 27 dead

International Desk: The Israeli forces attacked the Nuseirat refugee camp in the besieged Gaza Strip.

At least 27 people were killed in an attack on displaced people taking shelter in a school there. Besides, several others were injured. The government media office confirmed this information.

Palestinian independence group Hamas says a permanent end to the war in Gaza and the withdrawal of Israeli troops are necessary to agree to its cease-fire proposal. But Israel's defense chief said the attacks would not stop during ceasefire talks.  Various UN agencies have warned that if the attacks continue, the food crisis in Gaza will worsen.

More than 1 million Palestinians there are feared to be facing severe starvation by the middle of next month. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel is ready to launch an intensive operation on the Lebanese border.

There have been reports of frequent clashes between the Israeli army and Hezbollah for nearly eight months.  Innocent Palestinians are losing their lives every day due to the rampage of Israeli forces in Gaza. Women, men and even small children are not able to escape from these attacks. No place in Gaza is habitable anymore.

The Israeli forces have turned this valley, which is besieged by attacks almost everywhere, into a prison of death.  The Palestinian independence organization Hamas launched a sudden attack on Israel on October 7. Israel then launched a counter-attack on Gaza. So far, more than 36 thousand people have been killed by Israeli forces. 

The Hamas-controlled health ministry said 36,586 Palestinians had been killed in the nearly eight-month conflict there. Besides, another 83 thousand 74 people were injured. The conflict in Gaza shows no signs of abating. If the conflict continues like this, hundreds of thousands more innocent Palestinian lives will be lost.
