International Desk: A person has threatened to blow up Taj Hotel and Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport in Mumbai, India.
On Monday (27), a message was sent with this threat to the WhatsApp helpline number of the Mumbai Traffic Police. An unidentified person threatened to blow up the Taj Hotel and Mumbai Airport on Monday, a Mumbai Police official said.
The threat-taker also claimed that bombs had been planted at both locations. On receiving the information, the police quickly launched a search operation. But no suspicious or bomb-like objects were found during the operation.
The threat is believed to have been made to create panic or unrest. According to the report of the Indian media NDTV, the location of the number from which the threat was issued has been confirmed to be in Agra.
However, it is not yet clear who made this threat. Mumbai Police has registered a case against an unidentified person under the relevant section of the Indian Penal Code in this incident. Also, investigation is going on to find the perpetrator.
