International desk: Israel has launched a terrible attack on the city of Rafah in the besieged Gaza territory of Palestine. At least 35 Palestinians including women and children were killed. Many people were injured. Al Jazeera news.

Gaza's health ministry said in a statement that at least 35 Palestinians were killed and many more injured in Israeli airstrikes in Rafah.  According to the report, most of the victims were displaced women and children who were attacked with 'instruments of genocide'.

These people were already deprived of water, food, medicine, electricity and fuel. Israeli forces bombed a tent camp of displaced people in a planned safe zone in the town of Rafah, Al Jazeera reported, according to officials.

According to them, at least 35 Palestinians were killed in the attack. The Israeli military confirmed the attack, saying it had targeted Hamas fighters using "precision weapons". Israeli forces have acknowledged that civilians were injured in the attack and that the incident remains under investigation. On October 7 last year, Hamas launched the biggest attack in Israel this decade.

Immediately after this, Israel began airstrikes and ground attacks on Gaza.  35,984 Palestinians, most of them women and children, have been killed in the more than eight-month-long offensive. Injured 80 thousand 643 people.

Various countries and organizations, including the United Nations, have called for an end to this genocide, but Israel continues to attack them regardless. Following the Israeli announcement after the start of the attack, hundreds of thousands of Palestinians took up residence in the Rafah area. Later, when Israel announced an operation there too, the Palestinians left Rafah and moved elsewhere.

At the beginning of this month, Israel occupied the Palestinian part of the Rafah border. They have since closed the border crossing. The humanitarian crisis in the blockaded region has taken a dire shape. Disaster has befallen Palestinians not only in Rafah, but across the Gaza Strip.
