International Desk: Seven members of the same family were killed in a collision between a truck and a mini bus in India. The accident took place on the national highway between Delhi and Jammu on Friday morning. Another 20 people were injured in the accident. 30 members of the same family were traveling in a mini bus to Vaishnadevi in Jammu for a pilgrimage. The bus carrying the family members from Uttar Pradesh collided head-on with a truck on its way to Ambala. Eyewitnesses said that the accident took place when the truck driver suddenly braked in front of the moving bus.
The front of the mini bus was crushed in the collision with the truck. Three died on the spot, while the remaining four died in hospital. The condition of 20 injured persons is also serious. They are being treated at the hospital. Police said the truck driver fled after the accident, but the truck has been impounded. A case has been filed in this incident.
