International Desk: 14 people were killed in a fire in a densely populated residential building in Hanoi, Vietnam. At least three people were injured in the incident on Friday (May 24) morning, local police said.

British news agency Reuters reported this news. The country's Ministry of Public Security said in a statement that firefighters were able to rescue seven people after a fire broke out in a five-story building in a narrow alley in the Vietnamese capital. However, it is not known what caused the fire in the building. Apart from this, it was not possible to identify the identity of those who were killed.

The Ministry of Public Security also said that no accused has been identified in the incident so far. However, authorities are investigating the cause of the fire. In September last year, 56 people died in a fire in a residential building in the capital, Hanoi. 37 people including children were injured in that incident.
