International Desk: Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, killed in a helicopter crash, will be laid to rest today. This great leader will be buried after the Janaza at his birthplace Mashhad in the afternoon.  Before this, people from all walks of life will say their last farewell to the beloved president in Khorasan on Thursday morning. 68 high-ranking officials from 50 countries paid their respects in Tehran on Wednesday. National leaders of Qatar, Iraq, Pakistan and Syria, Turkmenistan participated in it. Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei conducted Raisi's third funeral at Tehran University that morning. Later he met the family of the deceased. 

Last Sunday, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian were killed in a helicopter crash in the northwestern province of East Azerbaijan. On that day, Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi visited the border area of ​​Azerbaijan to inaugurate a dam. President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev was also there. From there, Ibrahim Raisi and other officials with him were returning to Tabriz, the capital of Iran's East Azerbaijan province, with a fleet of three helicopters. En route, the helicopter carrying the president crashed in a mountainous area near the Zolfa region of East Azerbaijan. But the other two helicopters reached their destination safely.

The rescue team found the helicopter last Monday after a 16-hour continuous operation due to thick fog. Nine people, including the president of Iran, were killed in the helicopter crash.
