International Desk: Israel recently attacked the Iranian consulate office in Syria. Several officers were killed. After that incident, Tehran has threatened to take extreme revenge against Israel. International intelligence agencies and the media say that Iran has already prepared for the attack. Iran can attack Israeli interests anywhere in the Middle East at any time. There is excitement as well as fear in the entire Middle East. Russia and Germany called on Middle Eastern countries to exercise restraint in the emerging situation. The region and the United States are on high alert after Tehran threatened to retaliate after an Israeli airstrike on the Iranian consulate in the Syrian capital Damascus on April 1. At least 7 military advisers including Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi, Commander of Iran's Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRCG) were killed in the attack in Damascus.

Although Israel did not accept responsibility for the attack, in a speech on Wednesday, Iran's supreme religious leader Khamenei warned, "By attacking the consulate, it is as if Israel has attacked Iran's soil." They made a mistake. They must get the punishment for this. German airline Lufthansa initially suspended flights to and from Iran until April 11 amid tensions in the Middle East. On Thursday, the airline extended its validity by two days to April 13. Meanwhile, Russia has warned its citizens against traveling to the Middle East. Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said that Israel is continuing the war in Gaza. However, security preparations are being made elsewhere in the face of Iran's threat. "Those who harm us, we will harm them," he said after a tour of the airport. We are ready to fulfill all types of security of the state of Israel, defensively or offensively. Since the start of the Israel-Hamas war in Gaza, the conflict has spread across the Middle East. Iran-backed armed groups in Lebanon, Yemen and Iraq have been carrying out attacks backed by the Palestinians. Iran is avoiding direct conflict with the US or Israel. However, the country has been supporting those armed groups. Germany's foreign minister called for "maximum restraint" in a phone call with Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian to avoid escalating tensions.

The Russian Foreign Ministry has advised its citizens not to travel to the Middle East, particularly Israel, Lebanon and the Palestinian Territories. At a press conference, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said, "At this moment, everyone should be restrained, nothing should be done that will destabilize the situation in the Middle East completely."
