Hospitals in the Gaza Strip are being used as bases by Hamas

International Desk: Israeli forces have surrounded Al-Amal and Nasser hospitals located in the southern part of the Gaza Strip. On the other hand, a week-long operation is being conducted at Al-Shifa Medical Complex in northern Gaza. The Palestinian Red Crescent said members of the medical team were trapped there due to heavy shelling. Israel, on the other hand, claimed that it raided Gaza's main Al Shifa hospital and detained 480 fighters.

Israel says Gaza hospitals are being used as bases by Hamas. They have also published several videos and pictures in support of this claim. However, the Palestinian independence organization Hamas and the medical staff of Gaza hospitals rejected these accusations of Israel. The Palestinian Red Crescent said one of its workers was killed when an Israeli tank suddenly entered the vicinity of al-Amal and Nasser hospitals amid intense shelling and bombing in southern Gaza's Khan Yunis. Regarding the Al-Amal hospital operation, Israeli forces say that terrorists are using civilian infrastructure to carry out terrorist activities in the Al-Amal area. The Red Crescent said in a statement that Israeli forces had closed Amal Hospital and carried out a ferocious operation with bulldozers in its vicinity.

But hospital staff and patients as well as displaced people have taken shelter there. Israel is firing smoke bombs to force people to leave. The Red Crescent said in a later update that a displaced Palestinian died inside the hospital compound after being shot in the head by Israeli forces.
