Information Technology Desk: WhatsApp is adding features one after another, thinking about the security of users. Now the site has stopped taking profile screenshots. Its purpose is to stop misuse of profile picture screenshots. WhatsApp can no longer take screenshots of users' one-view photos or videos. This time, the same feature is going to continue in the profile picture as well.

A screenshot of a picture or chat is enough to breach privacy. Most of the time it is not clear who is taking the screenshot when. In the new feature, if someone takes a screenshot of the WhatsApp profile picture, no alert or warning will be sent. But the screenshot of the profile picture does not appear. Either it will appear blank, or the profile picture will be black. WhatsApp has not launched this new feature yet.

However, it is known that it may come in the next few weeks. This feature has been launched experimentally in the Android beta version of WhatsApp. It is seen there, a message is popping up when trying to take a screenshot of the profile picture. It says, 'Cannot take screenshot due to app restrictions'. Tech experts have verified this WhatsApp tool. They say they are doing great. This will increase user privacy. It has also been noticed that a screenshot of the profile picture is being taken by clicking on the contact from the chat window. The name of this feature of WhatsApp is going to be 'Screenshot Tool Blocker'. WhatsApp has not yet given the option to change the privacy feature settings. As a result, there is still a lot of work to be done in terms of privacy protection. Facebook has a similar feature called 'Profile Picture Guard', which prevents other users from taking screenshots of profile pictures.
