Father of the Nation's birth anniversary and Children's Day celebrated at CAG office

Correspondent: The 104th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day were celebrated at the CAG office.

On the occasion of the day, floral tributes were paid to the portrait of Bangabandhu at the CAG office on Sunday (March 17) morning. Other programs included flying of balloons and pigeons at the CAG office, recitation from the Holy Quran, documentary screening, children's painting competition and prize distribution, discussion meeting, prayer program and distribution of Iftar among children in orphanages.

Bangladesh Comptroller and Auditor General Md. was the chief guest at the event. Nurul Islam.

He said in the discussion meeting, Bangabandhu means the golden Bangladesh of dreams, Bangladesh means Bangabandhu. CAG office is and will continue to provide speedy service with sincerity and dedication in building a happy prosperous Sonar Bangla by nurturing the spirit and ideals of patriotism, liberation war, this is our commitment. In the prayer ceremony, a special prayer was offered to the martyrs of Bangabandhu and his family, all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the country, including all the martyrs in the Great War of Liberation, seeking the peace and prosperity of the country. CAG office and senior officials of Audit and Accounts Department along with Controller General Defense Finance Mr. Kamrun Nahar were present on the occasion.
