Trained young entrepreneurs will advance Smart Bangladesh: Speaker

Own Correspondent: Bangladesh National Parliament Speaker Dr. Shireen Sharmin Chowdhury MP said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's vision to implement Smart Bangladesh from Digital Bangladesh is a landmark step. She said that the trained young entrepreneurs will take the smart Bangladesh of the future forward.

She said these things in the speech of the chief guest at the inauguration ceremony of the construction of 'Joy Smart Service and Employment Training Center' under the digital connectivity project of the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology at Pirganj Upazila Parishad square under his constituency 24 Rangpur-6 on March 17 (Sunday).

State Minister for Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak gave a special guest speech on the occasion under the chairmanship of District Administrator Mohammad Mobaswer Hasan.

The Speaker said, Sajib Wazed Joy is the son of Rangpur's fame. He is the creator of Digital Bangladesh. He is advancing the plan of Smart Bangladesh of tomorrow. Therefore, by setting up this digital center in his name, the youth will take the services of information technology and develop their skills and engage in nation building.

She said, besides setting up Sheikh Kamal IT Incubation Training Center, Joy Set Center will create new skilled entrepreneurs to provide more new services to build Smart Bangladesh.

Speaker Dr. Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury said, the Joy Set Center will be set up on a floor of five thousand square feet on the fifth floor of the Upazila Parishad complex. People of Pirganj will get various government e-services including information technology services from this center.

State Minister for Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak said that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's smart gift will be to improve their skills by distributing a laptop to women entrepreneurs. Rangpur district will be transformed into a smart economic hub.

At the beginning of the program, the Speaker placed wreaths at the portrait of Bangabandhu located in the Pirganj Government High School grounds on the occasion of the 104th birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day. State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak and Member of Parliament for reserved seat Arma Dutta were present on the occasion.

Later, Speaker enjoyed discussion meeting, award distribution and cultural program organized by Pirganj Upazila Administration and Ministry of Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology on the occasion of '104th Birth Anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Children's Day'.

The Speaker said that Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman brought the red and green flag after breaking the chains of hundred years of subjugation from the dark cell most of his life. It was the eternal dream of the Father of the Nation to build a golden Bengal by bringing smiles to the faces of the poor people of Bengal.

The speaker distributed a total of 1190 laptops among women entrepreneurs under the project 'Her Power Project: Empowering Women through Technology'.

On this occasion, Md Asaduzzaman, Member of Parliament of Rangpur-1 Constituency, Mayor of Pirganj Upazila Parishad and General Secretary of Upazila Awami League ASM Tajimul Islam Shamim, Director General of Directorate of Information and Communication Technology Md Mostafa Kamal, Deputy Commissioner of Rangpur Mohammad Mobashwer Hasan, Superintendent of Police Md. : Ferdous Ali Chowdhury, Pirganj Upazila Parishad Chairman Alhaj Nur Mohammad Mondal, Pirganj Upazila Awami League President Nurul Amin Raja, Pirganj Upazila Executive Officer Md Iqbal Hasan, members of upazila administration, local and district level Awami League and organizational leaders, various dignitaries and media workers were present. was
