PTI Chairman Imran Khan is imprisoned here. According to a Dawn report, Jail Superintendent Asad Javed Waraich has committed contempt of court by rejecting the request of PTI leader Omar Ayub, Asad Qaiser and others to meet Imran Khan. PTI appeared before the court in this regard. According to reports, the jail authorities, who participated in the hearing on Friday, told IHC Justice Sardar Ejaz Ishaq Khan that some terrorists were recently arrested near the jail with some explosives, they planned to attack the jail premises. That is why strictures have been imposed on the jail premises. At that time, the judge directed the jail authorities that visitors can meet Imran Khan with his prior consent.

A report by the jail authorities claimed that court orders were being strictly followed and that Khan's lawyers were never prevented from meeting him. Also they will never be prevented from carrying necessary stationery. However, the report said, it will be scrutinized before anyone is allowed inside the premises. The court adjourned the case till March 15 for further hearing.
