Colorful event marks the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Science

News Desk: The 300th anniversary celebration of the Russian Academy of Sciences was inaugurated by the initiative of the Russian House in Dhaka. As part of the celebration in collaboration with Legend International School (LIS), the three-day Vibrant Science Carnival was organized from Tuesday 5th March.

Pavel Dvoichenkov, director of the Russian House in Dhaka, officially inaugurated this 3-day long carnival. He described the history of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the role and importance of this organization as a pioneer in world science practice. He also spoke about the activities of the Russian House in Dhaka in cooperation with science, education and cultural development of Bangladesh. LIS principal Faiz Ahmed Jahangir Masud, LIS director Shahriar Parvez and renowned physicist Dr. M Arshad Momen. The speakers spoke of Russia's acceptance and leading role in global science and technology and they gratefully recalled Russia's unforgettable contribution to the creation of science and technology talent in Bangladesh. They sought the special cooperation of the Russian House in Dhaka in science, education and cultural bridging between Russia and Bangladesh.

In addition, renowned scientist Farsi Mamun discussed the seminar in the second part of the program. Various science project exhibitions of science based and school students are organized in the carnival.
