International Desk: At least 60 Russian soldiers were killed in two missile attacks on a training area in occupied eastern Ukraine. Many more Russian soldiers were injured in the attack. News BBC.

The attack took place on Wednesday (February 21), a few hours before Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu was due to meet with Russian President Vladimir Putin. A senior Russian military commander was due to arrive in the Donetsk region, multiple sources told the BBC. So the Russian troops gathered. Video footage of the training camp shows many dead bodies lying on the spot.

After the meeting with Putin, the Russian military succeeded in some areas, including the area of ​​Donetsk. They recently discussed Russian troops taking control of the city of Avdivka from the Ukrainian military. However, neither Russia nor Ukraine have officially commented on the attack near the village of Trudovsky in Donetsk.

According to the report, members of Russia's 36th Motorized Rifle Brigade were waiting for Major General Oleg Moiseyev of the 29th Army Command of the Eastern Military Region, located in the Transbaikal region of Siberia. A soldier who survived the attack said the commanders of the 36th Rifle Brigade forced the soldiers to stand in the open.

Two missiles were fired at the troops by US-made Hymers missile launchers. British media BBC reported that the authenticity of the video of the attack is being verified.
