International Desk: The counting of votes for Pakistan's general election is underway. Meanwhile, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan announced his victory from prison. This is what the former Prime Minister of Pakistan claimed in a post on social media X on Friday. The counting of votes for Pakistan's general election held on Thursday continues today (February 9). Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) founder Imran Khan claimed his victory, saying the people had given their verdict by electing his party in large numbers.

The jailed Pakistani leader took to social media X (formerly Twitter) to express his confidence in his victory and called for 'Form 45' to protect the people's verdict. 'Form 45' is proof of statement of count by Election Commission of Pakistan. He said, no power can defeat him whose time has come. Despite every possible means being adopted to undermine the dreams of the people, our people have spoken today through voting. Imran Khan shared a picture of the ongoing counting of votes. Where seen, PTI-backed independent candidates as non-governmental won 125 seats, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) 44 seats, Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) 28 seats, MQM 9 seats and JUI 4 seats.
