Journalists' interaction with the new Superintendent of Police in Chuadanga

Chuadanga representative: An exchange meeting was held with the new Superintendent of Police Mr. RM Faizur Rahman in Chuadanga along with the journalists and freedom fighters of the electronic and print media of the district. On September 17, he officially assumed responsibility as Chuadanga Superintendent of Police. 

On September 21 (Tuesday) at the Chuadanga Police Lines Drillshed, under the chairmanship of the newly appointed Superintendent of Police Mr. RM Faizur Rahman, PPM-Service, Police Lines held an introductory and exchange meeting with the journalists of electronic and print media of Chuadanga district at 11:30 am.

Chuadanga District Police Additional Police Riazul Islam, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Anisuzzaman Lalon (Sadar Circle), Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police Zakia Sultana, Abu Jihad Fakrul Alam Khan (DIO-1) Chuadanga Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mahabbur Rahman were present.

In the exchange meeting, Mr. RM Faizur Rahman, the new Superintendent of Police in the district, was welcomed by the President of Journalist District Press Club, Adv. Manik Akbar Chuadanga Press Club President Sardar Al Amin. General Secretary Rajiv Hasan Kochi along with journalists Mamun Mollah, Faizer Chowdhury, Jisan Ahmed, Hussain Malik, Kamruzzaman Chand, Islam Rakib, journalist Rifat Rahman and other leaders spoke on the occasion. 

The newly appointed police superintendent said in his speech, "We remember with deep respect Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the great man of Bangladesh, the greatest Bengali father of the nation." Remembering Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnessa Mujib and other family members of the Father of the Nation, including all the victims of the brutal murder of August 15, 1975. I remember our four national leaders. Who have contributed immensely to our nation. 

I took the post of Superintendent of Police not as the Chief of the District Police, but as a noble responsibility given by the Chief Minister. District police members are working tirelessly to ensure the safety of life and property of the people of Chuadanga and to stabilize the law and order situation; I am proud to be a member of that great workplace and I am extremely grateful to Hon'ble Prime Minister Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina and Hon'ble Home Minister for giving me this opportunity.

He also said, I am determined to fulfill the responsibility assigned to me as Superintendent of Police of Chuadanga with merit, honesty and devotion. Ensuring safety and providing better services to the respected citizens of this district will be one of my main goals. 5 Police Stations in Chuadanga District will be the center of reliance of legal service seekers with quick response and ease of service.

The mirror of journalistic society. 4th pillar of state. Due to lack of manpower and logistics, it is difficult for the police alone to find all the crimes and criminals hiding in the nooks and crannies of the society. Only through your writings can the police thoroughly trace the anti-social activities. Police and journalists work as mutual friends in search of the truth. It is my hope that respected journalists will cooperate with the police by providing the police with accurate information about the crimes that are happening in every corner of the society. 

I and my team would like to work with you all with the noble vow of service that embodies the history of infinite bravery, valor, sacrifice. I will endeavor to apply my work experience, talent and efforts to the best of my ability to ensure the safety of people's lives and maintain the law and order situation. With your cooperation, Chuadanga District Police is determined to fulfill the duties assigned to the police as per the instructions of the Election Commission and as per the Election Conduct Rules. Upholding the spirit of the state, the constitution and the great liberation war, we are committed to fulfill our responsibilities with patriotism, professionalism, honesty and devotion. Your cooperation is highly desirable in our journey of light.

Mr. Md Riazul Islam, (promoted to the post of Superintendent of Police) Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance) was also present in the meeting. Mr. Zakia Sultana, Assistant Superintendent of Police (Damurhuda Circle), Chuadanga; Mr. Abu Jihad Fakrul Alam Khan, DIO-1, DSB; Mr. Mahabbur Rahman, Officer-in-Charge, Sadar Police Station, Chuadanga including brave freedom fighters and officers of various ranks of District Police.

Mr. Anisuzzaman, Chuadanga Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) was in charge of conducting the program.
