On the occasion of Sheikh Russell Day-2023, Mr. Mohammad Anwar Hossain, Additional Superintendent of Police (Administration and Finance), Mr. Narail paid tribute by placing wreaths at the portrait of Shaheed Sheikh Russell located in front of Narail District Commissioner's office keeping in mind the motto "Sheikh Russell Radiant, Fearless, Serene, Peaceful". .

Today is the 60th birthday of Shaheed Sheikh Russell, the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Sheikh Russell, younger brother of Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, was born on October 18, 1964 at the historic Bangabandhu Bhavan in Dhanmondi. On August 15, 1975, the child Sheikh Russell did not escape from the ruthless bullets of the hateful murderers, the enemies of humanity.

Bangabandhu was also brutally killed by the cannibals. At that time he was a fourth grade student of the University Laboratory School. By celebrating Sheikh Russell Day-2023, let all the children of the world grow up in the unspoilt field of nature. All people with humanitarian spirit are committed today to bring smiles to the faces of every child, teenager and youth of Bengal, bearing the grief of Sheikh Russell's tragic murder in their hearts.

All those present prayed for the forgiveness of the souls of all the martyrs, including Sheikh Russell, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who was martyred by an assassin's bullet on August 15, 1975, on Sheikh Russell Day.
