Discussion meeting on law and order on the occasion of Sharidiya Durgotsava in Narail

Narail representative:  On the occasion of smooth and peaceful celebration of Sharidiya Durgotsav in Narail on 08th September 2023 AD: A discussion meeting was held with the members of the Narail Puja Celebration Committee on law and order and overall security at Town Kali Bari Temple at 11:30 am. The meeting was attended by Mr. Mashrafe Bin Mortaza, Honorable Member of Parliament, Narail-2; Mr. Mohammad Ashfaqul Haque Chowdhury, Deputy Commissioner, Narail and Mosa: Sadira Khatun, Superintendent of Police, Narail were present as guests of honour.  

In the exchange meeting, the Superintendent of Police, at the beginning of his speech, greeted and congratulated everyone and expressed his ideas and opinions about the preparations and measures taken regarding the puja celebration. Superintendent of Police said, Narail District Police is and will always be by your side to maintain law and order and ensure the safety of people's lives and property. He called on everyone to celebrate Durgo Festival peacefully by maintaining communal harmony and sense of brotherhood and following all government instructions properly and conveying the message of Narail District Police to everyone at the grass root level.

At this time, he requested the members of the Pooja Celebration Committee to install CCTV cameras in the Pooja Mandap, appoint volunteers and guards, arrange collapsible gates, provide adequate lighting in the Pooja Mandap and arrange duty in turn to ensure overall security of the Pooja Mandap. Special safety to women and children and special request to refrain from drugs. 

Besides, if there is any problem, he advises everyone to immediately inform the beat officer of the concerned union, the officer-in-charge of the police station, 999 or the police superintendent.

 The exchange meeting was presided over by Mr. Ashok Kumar Kundu, President, Puja Udjan Parishad, Narail and Mr. Subas Chandra Bose, President, Bangladesh Awami League, Narail District Branch and Chairman, Zilla Parishad, Narail were present as the main speaker. At this time Mr. Md. Nizam Uddin Khan Nilu, General Secretary, Bangladesh Awami League, Narail District Branch and Mr. Anjuman Ara, Mayor, Narail Municipality, Narail; Mr. Nikhil Kumar Sarkar, General Secretary, Upazila Puja Celebration Parishad, Narail along with other President-Secretary of Narail District Puja Celebration Committee and senior officers of Narail District Police and other law enforcement officers and members were present.
