Popular Rabindra Sangeet singer Sumitra Sen is no more

Entertainment Desk: Popular Rabindra Sangeet singer Sumitra Sen passed away. He breathed his last at his home on Tuesday (January 3) morning.

According to sources, this Rabindra Sangeet artist was in critical condition. On Saturday (December 31), Sumitra Sen's condition deteriorated. The 89-year-old artist was suffering from bronchopneumonia for a long time. He also had shortness of breath.

He was admitted to a hospital in South Kolkata on Sunday (January 1). Sumitra Sen was again taken home on Monday (January 2). He breathed his last there on Tuesday morning.

Sumitra Sen's two daughters Indrani Sen and Shravani Sen are two established stars of the Bengali music world. The two girls learned music from their mother.

Shravani Sen wrote on Facebook early on Tuesday, 'Mother left early today.'
