The Queen died peacefully at Balmoral Park on Thursday afternoon, according to Buckingham Palace. Queen Elizabeth II has been on the British throne for 70 years. This year marks the 70th anniversary of his accession to the throne. He was staying at Barmoral Palace in Scotland since last July. The queen was last seen in public on Tuesday. On that day, Liz Truss officially took over as the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom after meeting the Queen at Balmoral Palace.
