Sanju Roy, Bogra: Bogra Superintendent of Police Sudeep Kumar Chakraborty BPM said that our self-identity as Bengali nation, the citizens of an independent country, was created by the hands of the great hero of freedom, Bangabandhu. Not only the leadership of achieving independence, the father of the nation devoted himself to rebuilding the war-torn country. He said that in independent Bangladesh, first of all, people should be servants. All of them rushed to build the gold bangla of their dreams. Therefore, if we can tell the true history of Bangabandhu and the great liberation war to all of the present generation, they will become true patriots from the heart because the history of the liberation war is always a history of glory for us. And Bangabandhu is the great hero of that history. On the occasion of National Mourning Day, he said the above while visiting the book reading and speech competition organized by Bogra District Police at Police Lines School and College Auditorium at 11:30 am on Sunday. Earlier on Saturday, painting and quiz competitions were held at the same venue. During the visit of the District Superintendent of Police, Additional Superintendent of Police Abdur Rashid, Assistant Superintendent of Police Gabtali Circle Niaz Mehdi, Principal of Bogra Police Lines School and College Shahadat Alam Jhunu and other journalists were present. It is known that on the occasion of National Mourning Day, this year Bogra District Police organized a competition for students in 5 subjects in which 1,652 students from 34 educational institutions participated enthusiastically. Among them, 208 students participated in 5 categories of drawing competition, 400 students participated in 3 categories of essay competition, 808 students participated in 3 categories of quiz competition, 86 students participated in 3 categories of speech competition and 150 students participated in 3 categories of reading competition. Bogra District Superintendent of Police Sudip Kumar Chakraborty said about organizing the competition, Bogra District Police family believes that the students have been able to capture the ideals of Bangabandhu and the history of great freedom in their organization by participating in various competitions. He said that they have taken this initiative to create awareness among the younger generation by knowing the political philosophy, political wisdom of the father of the nation and the deep sacrifice of Bangabandhu and his family for the country. One and a half thousand contestants from 34 educational institutions of Bogra participated in this competition where they were informed about the history of Bangladesh's independence and the great hero Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, who held this independence. He said that on August 15, the National Mourning Day, the winners of the competition will be awarded in the institution's auditorium.
