Anwar H Khan Fahim Lisbon, Portugal: The oldest tram in Portugal began in 1873 with horse-drawn trams.  Later, in the evolution of time, the journey of electric tram started from 1901.

The oldest trams in the city are the biggest tourist attraction in the capital, Lisbon, and in the port city of Porto.  In addition to the old manual trams in Lisbon, there are several tramways, including sophisticated and eye-catching trams.  One of them is E15.
To the people of Lisbon, an ancient tram symbolizes the spirit of the city.  You can enjoy the beauty and charm of Lisbon on that tram that relies on ancient technology.
These trams can carry 13.5 percent of the steep path at one point on the city's  Calçada da San Francisco. Which only the trams of Portugal can do but no other tram in the world can do that.

This manual tram has multiple brakes so that when one becomes useless the other can stop the tram.  When driving, the handle has to be rotated forward and when it is pulled, the wheel is turned backwards and the brakes work.  This is called pneumatic brake, one of which is magnetic and the other is hand brake.
Long lines of tourists will be seen boarding the trams. After a long wait, tourists from different countries travel in their desired vehicle in an orderly manner. Not only tourists but also trams have become the mainstay of the city when the pressure on other vehicles in the city increases.
The tram started its journey from the Martim Maniz area of the city.  The longest tram is the E28.  These 100-year-old electric trams cover a total of 36 stops in about an hour on a 7 km long journey.  Important and historical places of the city attract the attention of the visitors.
