The Tigers will play the Australia series without a batting coach

Sports Desk: Before the Zimbabwe series, the Bangladesh Cricket Board had appointed former South African cricketer Ashwell Prince as a batting consultant. Prince-BCB was contracted for one series. However, the cricket board has decided to extend his contract with Zimbabwe. Despite the extension of the contract, Shakib Al Hasan will not be able to get Prince in the upcoming Australia series.

For now, Prince will go to his home country South Africa without coming to Bangladesh from Zimbabwe. The matter has been confirmed by a member of the selection panel. However, he did not say why Prince was not in the Aussie series. "I have heard that Prince is not coming to Bangladesh now. He will go to South Africa from Zimbabwe. Australia is not in the series.

An attempt was made to contact Akram Khan, chairman of the board's cricket management department, to find out the reason for Prince's absence, but he could not be reached.

According to another source, Prince worked with the South African 'A' team before taking over as the batting consultant for the Bangladesh team. From there he is going to his home country to resign. That is why this new batting consultant of Bangladesh team has taken leave from Australia series.

The BCB had only appointed Prince for the Zimbabwe tour. Soumya-Shamimra have given their best under him in the recently concluded series. That is why the BCB has decided to keep the former Proteas batsman till the upcoming T20 World Cup. Although the deal was not final, Bangladesh was hopeful of getting him in the Australia series.
