International Desk: Myanmar saw another bloody day. Hundreds of protesters were killed in a single day on the country's Armed Forces Day on Saturday. Saturday after the military coup last month, security forces have been killed in the protests. After the coupon on February 1, the army overthrew the civilian government and seized power. Since then, people of different classes and professions have been protesting in the streets against the military government.

Ordinary people have been demanding the return of power to the civilian government. But now the military government is not willing to return power. Protests continue in Yangon, Mandalay, and other cities. Myanmar's pro-democracy activists have already announced a massive protest on Saturday to mark the country's Armed Forces Day.

However, the junta government warned on Friday night that they could be shot in the head and back if they joined the movement. An announcement broadcast on Myanmar's state-run MRTV news channel said lessons should be learned from the tragedy of previous horrific deaths that (if you go to the protests) you could be at risk of being shot in the head and back. Despite this, the protesters took to the streets on Saturday as per the pre-arranged announcement.

Security forces also opened fire on protesters. The Assistance Association for Political Prisoners said on Saturday afternoon that 69 people had been killed in the security forces firing.

Later on Saturday night, the Myanmar Now News website reported that 114 people, including children, had been killed by security forces across the country. This is the highest number of deaths in a single day so far. At least 40 people, including a 13-year-old child, have been killed in Mandalay and at least 26 in Yangon, according to Myanmar Now. Many more people lost their lives in other cities as well.
