Bangladesh Air Force's annual winter exercise 'Wintex 2021' is over

News Desk: The annual winter exercise of Bangladesh Air Force 'Wintex-2021' started on 26 February 2021 and ended on 03 March 2021. Bangladesh Air Force Chief Air Chief Marshal Masihuzzaman Serniabat, BBP, OSP, NDU, PSC inspected various activities of the exercise. Through this week-long exercise, the effective combat capability of the existing weapons of the Bangladesh Air Force was assessed and its weak points were identified.

Important recommendations were made. All these important recommendations will play a special role in building a better defense system in the future and will be especially helpful in the development of air defense in Bangladesh. The exercise is done in three stages- Communication Exercise (ENGA), Logistic Exercise (KHANA), and Live Exercise (KHOTH). As part of the exercise, a special operation (Combat Search and Rescue) was held at the airfield in Tangail district on Wednesday.

Intelligent commandos of the Air Force including fighter jets and helicopters flying from different bases of the Bangladesh Air Force participated in the operation. Concerning the strategy of retrieving a pilot who landed by parachute from a crashed plane in enemy airspace and bringing him back to his area. The main purpose of the operation was to practice. As a significant part of the winter exercise, a special air operation was conducted at Sudharam Airfield in Noakhali district on Wednesday (03-03-2021).

Where Bangladesh is divided into two separate states called Green Land and Red Land. Sudharam Airfield in Noakhali district is used as an important forward airbase of Red Land in this exercise. In this special air operation, 15 para commandos of the Bangladesh Army and 30 ground combatants of Bangladesh Air Force landed at Sudharam Airfield in three MI-17 helicopters of Bangladesh Air Force and ensured the victory of Greenland by occupying the airfield. Through the Bangladesh Air Force's annual winter exercise 'Wintex-2021', the Air Force pilots will be able to attack, intercept, monitor enemy positions from the sky, supply supplies, transfer troops and weapons, special operations, search and rescue.

Practice all kinds of techniques including missions. Apart from air warfare, all related exercises including the ground defense system are carried out through this exercise. The exercise was conducted simultaneously in all the bases, stations, and units of the Air Force in Sylhet, Tangail, Lalmonirhat, Shamshernagar, Barisal, Rasulpur, Sudharam, and all over Bangladesh.

The exercise was attended by all members of the Air Force, including fighter jets, transport aircraft, helicopters, radars, and surface-to-air missile units. It is to be noted that Bangladesh Army, Navy, Civil Defense, and BNCC (Air Wing) participated on a small scale to coordinate with other forces to make the exercise more effective.
