“CEC to Address the Nation This Evening Ahead of National Parliamentary Election

News Desk: Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin will address the nation on Wednesday (February 11) evening ahead of the upcoming National Parliamentary Election. The Election Commission (EC) confirmed the matter in a message on Tuesday.

According to EC sources, the CEC’s speech was recorded on Tuesday evening. It will be broadcast simultaneously this evening on Bangladesh Television (BTV), Bangladesh Betar, and all private television channels and radio stations across the country.

It is expected that in his address, the CEC will brief the nation on the overall preparations for the election and urge voters to go to polling centers without fear to exercise their right to vote. He is also likely to speak about the nationwide distribution of election materials and the overall security arrangements for 42,659 polling centers.

Notably, in his address to the nation on December 11 last year, the CEC had announced the election schedule for the National Parliamentary Election.
