Results of most constituencies to be released by Friday morning: EC Sanaullah

News Desk: On Thursday (February 12), for the first time in the country's history, the National Assembly election and referendum are going to be held on the same day. The election commission said that the results of the vote will be published as soon as possible.

Election Commissioner (EC) Brigadier General (retd.) Abul Fazal Md. Sanaullah said, "We are trying to publish the results of the vote as soon as possible. The results of most of the constituencies will be out by the morning of the day after polling (Friday).

On Wednesday (February 11) at 11 o'clock, he said this at the official briefing of local and foreign journalists and observers on the occasion of the referendum and the 13th National Assembly election.

Regarding the entry of observers to the polling station, the EC said, "The EC is giving the journalists and observers the opportunity to enter the polling station to ensure transparency in the overall voting process."

About the voting system of expatriates, he said, 'According to the announcement of the chief adviser, the commission is working on expatriate voting. The postal ballot system is serving as a new experience for the Commission.'

Earlier in the briefing, CEC said, "The Election Commission is organizing free, impartial and fair elections." Strict accountability will be ensured in elections. After all preparations for the 13th National Election, the Commission is committed to free, fair and participatory elections.'
