Dialogue with 80 election observer organizations of the country

Ahead of the upcoming 13th National Parliamentary Election, the Election Commission (EC) has called 80 local election observer organizations for a dialogue. The dialogue will be held in two sessions next Tuesday (25 November) at the Election Building in Agargaon, Dhaka.

On Sunday (23 November), this information was confirmed by Md. Asadul Haque, Assistant Director of the EC’s Public Relations Department.

He said the dialogue with the 80 local election observer organizations will be held on Tuesday. In the first session, from 10:30 AM to 12:30 PM, 40 organizations will participate. In the second session, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, another 40 organizations will take part.

Earlier, on 14 September, the EC registered 66 local observer organizations and invited claims and objections for registering 16 new organizations by issuing a public notice.

From these, 15 organizations will be registered. By adding 14 new ones with the final 66, the EC will hold dialogue with 80 organizations. After the hearing, one more organization may also be added to this dialogue.
