Lalmonirhat Krishak Dal Supports Farmers Unable to Harvest Ripe Paddy Due to Lack of Funds

In Lalmonirhat Sadar Upazila, leaders and activists of the Jatiyatabadi Krishak Dal came forward to assist four farmers who were unable to harvest their ripe paddy due to financial constraints.

On Tuesday (18 November), from morning until noon, over a hundred Krishak Dal leaders and activists harvested a total of three acres and fifteen decimals of paddy from the fields of these farmers in Mahendranagar and Harati unions, using sickles.

Under the leadership of District Krishak Dal President Nurunnabi Mostofa, the team harvested two acres from Entajul Haque and 30 decimals from Solaiman Ali in Kaziarchawra village of Mahendranagar Union. Simultaneously, in Harati Union, paddy from 45% of Ashraful Haque’s land and 40% of Sirajul Haque’s land was also harvested by the activists.

The initiative saw participation from District Krishak Dal Joint Secretary A.K.M. Zaherul Haque (Dulu), Sadar Upazila Krishak Dal Convener Sarwarul Haque Linkon, District Krishak Dal Joint Convener Abdur Razzak, along with presidents and general secretaries of various union branches, totaling over five hundred activists from the Sadar Upazila, all harvesting the paddy manually with sickles.
