Government Criticism Helps Strengthen Democracy: Environment Adviser

News Desk: Criticism of the government plays a vital role in strengthening democracy, said Syeda Rizwana Hasan, Adviser to the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change. She made the remarks on Tuesday (16 September) while speaking as the chief guest at a discussion organized to mark World Ozone Day.

She stated, “Through criticism, the government can recognize its mistakes and find opportunities to move in the right direction. As a nation, we are interested in criticism, but we often fail to apply its lessons in our personal lives.”

She further urged that, along with constructive criticism, individuals must also focus on their own behavior and responsibilities, as this can help build a developed and sustainable society.
