Regions where storms are expected by evening

News Desk: The Meteorological Department has announced that storms with wind speeds of up to 60 kilometers per hour may occur in seven districts by Sunday evening. In this situation, river ports in these areas have been instructed to display cautionary signals.

This information was shared in a forecast issued for inland river ports across the country, covering the period from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

According to the forecast, the regions of Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, and Cox’s Bazar may experience temporary gusty or squally winds from the south or southeast direction, blowing at 45 to 60 kilometers per hour, accompanied by rain or thunderstorms.

River ports in these areas have been advised to hoist cautionary signal number 1.
