Construction worker Ibrahim did not return home for Eid!

JakkanEB Correspondent:  A worker named Ibrahim died after falling from a 10-story building while working on a building under construction at National Poet Kazi Nazrul Islam University.

Ibrahim fell from the 10th floor of a utility building around 5 pm on Sunday (March 22). He was then rushed to the Trishal Upazila Health Complex, where the doctor on duty declared him dead.

It is learned that Ibrahim's village is in Godagari Upazila of Rajshahi. He was supposed to go home during the Eid holidays and spend time with his family, but that did not happen. His death has cast a shadow of grief over the family.

In this regard, Proctor Dr. Mahbubur Rahman said that a worker named Ibrahim died after falling from a building. His body is at the Trishal Upazila Health Complex. It will be handed over to his family from there.

Attempts were made to contact the site engineer of the building under construction regarding this matter, but contact was not possible.

It is learned that the MKTNHEGB contracting company is engaged in the work of this building. Attempts to contact the owner of this company could not be made.

The death of the worker has also shocked the teachers and students of the university. A student named Md. Abu Taher said, "There were probably plans for Eid a few days later, for the family. The family was also hopeful. The university should definitely help."

It should be noted that there are also allegations against these contracting companies that safety is not maintained properly in the construction of buildings at the university.
