Brick kiln in Chandanaishe, Chittagong fined Tk 5 lakh

Chittagong Correspondent:  A brick kiln in Chandanaishe, Chittagong has been fined 5 lakh taka. It is learnt that Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) and Executive Magistrate Diplomacy Chakma conducted a mobile court on March 19 at 11 am. During this, three brick manufacturing establishments, JMC, Messrs. Rahim and ABN Bricks, were fined a total of 5 lakh taka under the Brick Manufacturing and Kiln Establishment (Control) Act 2013 for not having a valid clearance from the DC office, not having a clearance from the Department of Environment and other reasons.

They were warned after collecting the fine. Inspector Moinuddin Faisal of the Department of Environment and Shuvo Das, computer operator of the land office, along with ASI Mansur of Chandanaish police station and the Sangiya force were present at the time.
