
Bogra Correspondent: The Bogra Bread-Biscuit and Confectionery Owners Association held an Iftar and Doa Mahfil to wish the country and the people well during the holy month of Ramadan. The event was held on the 3rd floor of Akbaria Hotel at Thana Mor in the city on Saturday afternoon.
The event was presided over by the association's general secretary, Adv. Imdadul Haque Imdad, and the president of the association's Bogra district branch and chairman of Akbaria Group, Hasan Ali Alal, spoke as the president.
During this time, he wished all the members of the association a blessed Ramadan and discussed various important organizational issues. Alal said that the unity and good intentions of the members can bring about positive changes in any organization. At the beginning of the month of Ramadan, their association called on all the owners of bakeries and bread biscuit factories in Bogra to maintain cleanliness and produce quality products. The traders responded to their call and are doing business smoothly during the month of Ramadan this year, which is a positive start. He once again sought the government's sincere cooperation on behalf of all the bakery owners to take the bakery industry forward. He called on the concerned to ensure government subsidies on raw materials and not to impose VAT-tax beyond their means. At the same time, he requested the administration to ensure that small traders are not given major punishment in the administration's campaign for any minor mistake. Alal expressed his hope that they will continue to work to further enrich this industry in Bogra, the heart of the north, with the cooperation of everyone.
North Bengal Bread-Biscuit and Confectionery Owners Association General Secretary Sekender Ali, Rangpur Bakery Owners Association Joint General Secretary Md. Faruk, Assistant General Secretary Mazharul Islam and Joypurhat Bakery Owners Association President Shamim Nazir Ahmed spoke as invited guests at the meeting. Bogra Bread Biscuit and Confectionery Owners Association Vice Presidents Rezaul Karim and Bayezid Sheikh, Assistant General Secretary Saidur Rahman, Assistant Organizing Secretary Miraj Hossain, Ali Azam, Zulfikar Hossain and others were present at the time.
Before the Iftar, prayers were offered to pray for the repose of the souls of the deceased members of the association, and for the success of all businessmen ahead of Eid, as well as for the well-being of the country and the world. Finally, on behalf of the association, President Hasan Ali Alal presented various Eid items, including laccha-semai produced by the Akbaria Group, to all the members who participated in the Iftar.
