Only BNP has the power to prosecute Hasina's murderer: Ishraq

Bogra Correspondent:  Engineer Ishraq Hossain, a member of Dhaka South BNP, known as the mayor of the people, said that BNP is the only political party that has the power to try the murderer Sheikh Hasina. By forming a new party, a group has come to believe that they are the ones who liberated the country. Ishraq said, we got independent Bangladesh in 1971 through the great liberation war. Bangladesh did not become independent again, Bangladesh was already independent. There is talk of holding elections for the Second Republic or Constituent Assembly, which will require the formation of a government with the support of the people of their country to implement. Many are trying to postpone the elections by talking about reforms. However, even if the interim government cannot carry out these reforms, they will not last long. Reforms will be possible only when they are carried out through a government elected by the people.

Israk said these things while speaking as the chief guest at the Doa and Iftar Mahfil organized by Mokamtala Union BNP and its affiliates in Shibganj, Bogra on Friday at Mokamtala High School ground. At that time, he recalled the contribution of all student organizations across Bangladesh in the July Movement. Welcoming the newly formed political party and its leaders as politicians, he said that those who served as spokespersons in the anti-discrimination movement were the ones who were in the movement and no one else was. He also said about his own party that BNP is a party of crores of workers and supporters. If someone commits a misdeed using the name of the party, the person will have to take responsibility for it, the party will never bear it. He expressed his hope that BNP will come to power through a fair and impartial election with the love of the people and warned that BNP is not afraid of anyone's bloodshed in this journey and will not do so, Israk warned.

The program was chaired by Mokamtala Union BNP President Nur-e-Alam Md. Mamun Talukder and the main speaker was Bogra District BNP Vice-President and former Upazila Chairman of Shibganj Principal Mir Shah-e-Alam. Addressing the thousands of people present at the program, he said that the leaders of Mokamtala BNP and its affiliated organizations have made important contributions in the long-standing struggle. Under the guidance of Tarique Rahman, the acting chairman of BNP after August 5, they are working towards overall positive development in Shibganj, including providing security to the common people. Many political parties and their workers, jealous of BNP's popularity, have spread various rumors at different times, but the common people have rejected them.

Abu Hasan, General Secretary of Bogra District Jubo Dal, spoke as a special guest at the event organized at the invitation of Rokon Ud-Daula Rubel, General Secretary of Mokamtala Union BNP.

Before the iftar, prayers were offered for the health of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia and for the well-being of the country and the world. After the iftar, leaders including Ishraq Hossain and Mir Shahe Alam participated in the prayer along with hundreds of people at a place.
