'Fresh Pharma' begins its journey to provide safe animal products in Bogra

Bogra Correspondent:  A 'Fresh Pharma' outlet was inaugurated in Bogra on Wednesday afternoon opposite the new building of the Government Azizul Haque College under the supervision of the District Livestock Department with the aim of supplying safe animal meat throughout the year, including during the month of Ramadan.

District Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Anisur Rahman inaugurated this fair price institution as the chief guest. 

At this time, he said, the Department of Livestock is conducting various creative activities throughout the country during the month of Ramadan. In continuation of which, the District Department of Livestock has taken this initiative through 6 young entrepreneurs in Bogra to provide antibiotic residue-free and safe animal meat to the general public. He said, on the one hand, the general public will be able to buy healthy animal meat according to their needs at a fair price, and on the other hand, young entrepreneurs will move forward. They expect to run this creative initiative not only during the month of Ramadan, but also throughout the year. 

Bogra Additional District Livestock Officer Dr. Nasreen Parveen and Sadar Upazila Livestock Officer Dr. Md. Raihan were present as special guests at the inauguration ceremony of Fresh Pharma, which was started by six young entrepreneurs, Engineer Nizamul Haque, Agriculturist Tasnim Siddiqui, Agriculturist Muhebbur Rahman, Engineer Tausif Rahman, Mejbaul Islam and Rakib Chowdhury, following biosecurity. 

The entrepreneurs said that for about a year, they have started the process of supplying safe chicken meat free of antibiotic residues directly from the farm to the general public. They started their journey institutionally from Wednesday under the direct supervision of the District Livestock Department during the month of Ramadan. They dream of taking the progress forward. They said that many times when you go to the market, you have to buy a whole chicken even if you cannot afford it and you have doubts about whether the chicken you have purchased is healthy? However, at Fesh Pharmacy, you will have the opportunity to buy as much as you need and they will try to keep the price slightly lower than the market price. In addition to buying directly from their outlet, consumers will get healthy chicken meat at a fair price through home delivery. The general delivery charge is 20 taka and if you buy more than 5 kg of meat, they will deliver it to the consumers for free under their own management. They want to expand this initiative in phases.
