Drama staged in commemoration of July Movement at BAKU

Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh: The prize distribution of the annual sports competition of the Muktijoddha Smriti Vidyalaya located on the premises of Bangladesh Agricultural University (BAYU) was held.

In the program organized at 3:30 pm on Wednesday (February 26) in the school premises, the school students staged a play to commemorate the July Movement. In the play, the students played the roles of Shaheed Abu Sayeed and Mir Mughed.

The event was attended by the chief guest, Vice-Chancellor of BKU, Professor Dr. AK Fazlul Haque Bhuiyan. The special guest was Proctor Professor Dr. Md. Abdul Alim. The event was presided over by the acting headmaster of the school and Professor of the Department of Surgery and Obstetrics of BKU, Dr. Md. Mahmudul Alam.

At that time, the Vice-Chancellor said, "The performance of the students is truly commendable. The patriotism of the nameless martyrs including Sayeed, Mughad and others and their strength to fight against injustice inspires us. The soil of Bengal will remember their sacrifice forever."
