Thailand-Bangladesh Business Matching 2026 Held in Dhaka to Boost Trade, Investment and Industrial Cooperation

Diplomatic Correspondent: The Thailand-Bangladesh Business Matching 2026 was held today at Padma Hall, Pan Pacific Sonargaon, Dhaka, bringing together business leaders, entrepreneurs, importers, distributors and industry representatives from both countries to explore new trade and investment opportunities.

‎Organised by the Office of Commercial Affairs, Royal Thai Embassy in Dhaka, the event aimed to strengthen bilateral commercial relations and create a platform for direct B2B connections between Thai and Bangladeshi companies.
‎The programme was attended by H.E. Mrs. Thitiporn Chirasawadi, Ambassador of Thailand to Bangladesh, as the Chief Guest. Senior representatives from the business community, including Mr. Shams Mahmud, President of Bangladesh-Thai Chamber of Commerce & Industry (BTCCI), Mr. Taskeen Ahmed, President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI), and representatives from the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), participated in the event.

‎In her opening remarks, the Thai Ambassador highlighted Bangladesh as an important and promising market for Thailand, citing the country’s expanding industrial sector, growing consumer base and increasing demand for technology, machinery, materials and quality products.

‎She said the event was not only about product promotion but also about building long-term partnerships through distribution networks, technology cooperation, sourcing opportunities and industrial solutions.
‎
‎“Today’s business matching provides an important opportunity for Thai companies to meet directly with Bangladeshi importers, distributors, manufacturers and potential business partners,” the Ambassador said.
‎
‎She also emphasised Thailand’s strengths in manufacturing, industrial solutions and global supply chains, encouraging businesses from both countries to explore sustainable collaborations beyond traditional trade.
‎
‎The event featured keynote presentations, including a presentation on FDI opportunities in Bangladesh by the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), followed by remarks from business leaders and networking sessions.
‎
‎The main highlight of the programme was the B2B Matchmaking Session, where Thai and Bangladeshi companies engaged in focused discussions to identify potential areas of cooperation in trade, investment and industrial partnerships.
‎
‎The Thailand-Bangladesh Business Matching 2026 is expected to contribute to deeper economic ties and create new avenues for collaboration between the two countries’ private sectors.
