Sports  Desk: Former India cricketer Yuvraj Singh has been sued for commenting on caste. A lawyer from Hisar in Haryana has filed the case against Yuvraj. According to Indian media India Today, a case has been filed against Yuvraj at Haryana's Hansi police station under sections 153, 153A, 295 and 505 of the Indian Penal Code.

Besides, cases have also been filed under sections 3 (1) (r) and 3 (1) (s) of the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act. Yuvraj Singh joined Indian opener Rohit Sharma on Instagram live last year. There are allegations that Yuvraj disrespected Dalits by making fun of other cricketers. He was also severely criticized for his comments on caste. Later, however, he realized his mistake and apologized.

Apologizing, Yuvraj Singh wrote on social media, "I never believe in caste, color or gender. I look at every human being equally and try to work for their benefit. Life is to stand by each other selflessly. ' However, Yuvraj apologized but some of the Haryana residents were angry over the issue. Evidence of this was found this time. The case was filed with Rohit about eight months after that live. Yuvraj Singh has not yet commented on the case.
