Sports Desk: The bad news came after returning to Dhaka with the shame of losing the Chittagong Test. Bangladesh's world-class all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan dropped out of the second Test of the series against the West Indies.

The Tigers will have to play the second match without him due to a left thigh injury sustained on the second day of the first Test. Not only Shakib, left-arm opener Sadman Islam was also dropped from the second Test.

A statement issued by the Bangladesh Cricket Board on the eve of today's (Wednesday) match said Sadman, 25, will not be able to play in the Dhaka Test. He is now out of the bio-bubble but will remain under the constant supervision of the BCB's medical team.

While fielding on the fourth day of the Chittagong Test, Sadman fell badly and got pain in his buttocks. Since then, he has been fielding the rest of the match by coming and going off the field several times. Sadman is recovering well from that injury. However, the BCB medical team does not want to take any risk.

So he is being kept out of the team for the second Test. Although the majestic government was included in the squad to replace Shakib Al Hasan, the BCB did not provide any information about Sadman's replacement. Which means Saif Saif could be seen starting the innings with Tamim Iqbal in the second Test.
