Rangpur Bureau: The suffering of the people is increasing in the northern region due to cold and fog. The winter is getting colder and colder, the low income people are working in this region. Rangpur Meteorological Office says that fog has been falling in the area since midnight. No sunlight has been seen in the area. Temperatures in the north are fluctuating between 8-9 degrees Celsius on Tuesday (January 26).

Ordinary people are suffering due to thick fog and cold winds. Meteorologist Mostafizur Rahman said that cold winds and cold entered Bangladesh through Nepal and Bihar through Tetulia and India border in Panchagarh in the north. Due to this, the minimum temperature is rising in the northern districts. He fears that it will decrease. If the temperature decreases, it will become very cold.

With the temperature dropping, the severity of winter may increase with extreme cold and thick fog in the north. People of different ages including children and the elderly with the disease. Rangpur District Civil Surgeon Dr. Hiramba Kumar Roy said that people of different ages are being admitted to Rangpur Medical College Hospital with various diseases including pneumonia, diarrhea, tuberculosis and cough due to extreme cold with extreme fog.

Rangpur Medical College Hospital and other upazila health complexes in the district have been affected by cold-related diseases. Around 400 people, including children and the elderly, have been admitted. Doctors are rushing to the field to provide medical services. 6 women died in Rangpur burn unit. As many as 23 burn patients have been admitted. Most of them are women. Rangpur Deputy Commissioner Asib Ahsan said that the cold has increased in the northern region due to cold and fog.
