Sports Desk: The Bangladesh team was scheduled to tour Sri Lanka in July this year to play a three-match Test series. The series was scheduled to start on October 24 with the 1st Test due to Corona. Later, due to quarantine complications, the Bangladesh team's tour of Sri Lanka was postponed indefinitely.

So the boards of the two countries are discussing the visit again. This was stated by Akram Khan, Chairman, Cricket Operations Committee, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB). "We are in talks with Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) to arrange a postponed tour," Akram Khan said. 2021 is a very busy year for both our countries. But due to the tight schedule, we are eager to play the World Test Championship series between April and May.

England will tour Sri Lanka in January next year. There they will play a two-match Test series. But to everyone's surprise, the Sri Lankan Ministry of Health relaxed their mandatory 14-day quarantine rule. They did not even impose any restrictions on the opportunity for England to prepare themselves. The opportunity given to England by the Sri Lankan authorities has given a boost to the success of Bangladesh's tour of Sri Lanka.

That is why the BCB has started negotiations with the Sri Lanka Board. They hope that if the benefits that England got are given to Bangladesh, the postponed series can be completed successfully by the middle of next year.
