Govt job matching merit in Naogaon

Naogaon Correspondent: Children of Naogaon are getting the gold not diamond deer called government jobs through a 100% transparent process based on merit.

Naogaon DC has changed the way of thinking that to get a government job, you don't have to have the power of a stick called tadbir, or you have to have the recommendation of uncles and aunts or influential relatives.

District Commissioner of Naogaon, Golam Moula has set an example in the history of Naogaon by providing government jobs based on merit through a transparent process.

Recently, a precedent has been set by appointing 116 people to various vacant posts under the district revenue administration after 2018 on the basis of merit and merit through a transparent process. Many of the poor, poor, helpless and daily wage laborers in the district were gifted diamond deer called government jobs based on their merit, and the unique colorful dreams of the people of those families have come true. According to Naogaon district administration, nine categories of draftsman, Nazir-cum-Cashier, Office Assistant-cum-Computer Numismatic, Certificate Peshkar, Certificate Assistant, Credit Checking-cum-Sairat Assistant, Mutation-cum-Certificate Assistant, Tracer and Work Assistant in Grade 15 and 16 in District Revenue Administration. The circular was published on September 17 last year for a total of 37 vacant posts. 6 thousand 772 job seekers applied in it. Among them, 3 thousand 42 people participated in the written test and 106 people passed in different categories. After the practical test, on March 12 and 13, a total of 33 people were recommended for appointment in seven categories in the oral examination at the Rajshahi Divisional Commissioner's office. Those who are recommended are appointed quickly as per the government rules. No one has been recommended for 3 posts as there are no qualified candidates for the posts of Tracer and Assistant.

In addition, 83 people were strongly recommended for recruitment after the written and oral examination held at the Deputy Commissioner's office for a total of 83 posts of office assistant, security guard and cleaner in three categories in the 20th grade. The recommended persons have recently been posted in the respective branches of the District Administrator's Office, Upazila Bhomi Office and Union Bhomi Office. Also, after 2019, a recruitment circular has been published on 30th of January this year for 5 vacant posts of Union Parishad Accounts Assistant-cum-Computer Operator under Local Government Branch. All jobs in this recruitment circular are almost finished. Recruitment will be done from among the applied candidates soon after the process.

After the publication of the recruitment circular in the district revenue administration, on February 5th, the district administrator posted an article on the verified Facebook page of the district administration about completing the recruitment process based on merit with 100% transparency. The people of Naogaon expressed their hope to continue this process of recruitment on the basis of transparency.

In addition, on the verified Facebook page of the District Administration on March 13, District Commissioner Md. According to a post given by Golam Mawla, three of those who were appointed in the final results of the land administration recruitment examination of the District Commissioner's office did not submit the first three candidates from the waiting list on the basis of satisfactory police verification report and health examination report. The decision is taken and the roll, name and address of the candidates are also published in that post. The candidate who was recommended for the office assistant post in the waiting list is the son of Aman Ullah of Madrasa Para area of ​​Naogaon Sadar Upazila. Chufi Ullah Tanveer expressed his feelings on his mobile phone and said that in a time where millions of rupees have to be paid to get a government job for the smallest position, I never imagined that a boy like me from a poor family would get a government job based on merit without money. First of all, I am thanking Almighty God and then the District Commissioner. Prayers and gratitude to Golam Mawla sir, due to whose honesty today I have been gifted with an honest way of providing two handfuls of food. As long as I remain in this job, I will try to use such a rare gift properly by serving the country and benefiting people.

Naogaon Deputy Commissioner and District Magistrate Golam Mawla said, I am thankful to Almighty Allah that I have been able to complete the job recruitment process on the basis of transparency. Besides, I feel blessed that I have been able to evaluate the qualified candidates in the right way despite hundreds of lobbying and obstacles. I have been promoting ever since the recruitment notification that recruitment will be done on the basis of merit with 100% transparency. Let no one be deceived by false temptations. I have advised everyone to study without running behind undue lobbying. In the end I was able to keep my word. As long as I am in this district, jobs will be given on the basis of 100% merit, he said.

He also said that currently there has been a radical change in getting government jobs. Merit is being evaluated in most jobs. Once there was a practice of bribery to get the highest job in the country but now it is no more. During the current Awami League government, many children of day laborers, hardworking families are also getting big government jobs based on merit. As the days go by more and more transparency will establish the custom of awarding jobs on the basis of merit.
