Information Technology Desk : Expiry date of the phone again? Many may think that the phone may not have an expiry date. Everything has an expiration date. Products become unusable upon expiry. Similarly, your used phone also has a certain period.

Do you know, the smartphone you are using, how much is its term and where it is written or how long it can be used? A smartphone is an electronic device, like any other electronic device its battery uses chemicals which wear out after some time. Smartphones these days come with fixed batteries, which cannot be replaced if the battery dies. People throw away their smartphones after the battery dies.

No matter how many years you use a smartphone, it never expires. Actually smartphones do not have any specific expiry date. But there are reasons due to which a smartphone gets damaged even if it is not used properly even for a day. As long as the smartphone does not have any major faults, it continues to work. This problem could be with the battery, circuit board or wiring.

Life span of a smartphone
A good branded smartphone available in the market will last for years. Smartphones use such chips and components that last for a long time, if one uses the phone carefully. Many phones last for 8-10 years without any problems. But sometimes its battery may need to be changed.

Phone Software
Today smartphone manufacturers have become quite clever. Most companies stop providing software updates to smartphones after 2-3 years. Due to which the use of old smartphones becomes unusable and the smartphone has to be changed.
