745 young women received PM's smart gift laptop in Feni

Feni Correspondent: State Minister for Posts, Telecommunication and Information Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak MP has distributed smart gift laptops to female trainees in Feni on behalf of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Apart from Feni, laptops were distributed to a total of 745 women trainees in Chandpur and Lakshipur districts under the "Har Power" project under the Department of Information and Communication Technology. Apart from 240 women in Feni district, there are 265 women in Lakshmipur and 240 women in Chandpur.

It was organized by the district administration and the Directorate of Information and Technology at the PTI ground on Trunk Road in Feni on Wednesday afternoon. Deputy Commissioner Mushammat Shahina Akhtar presided over as special guests were Member of Parliament of Feni-1 Constituency Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury Nasim, Member of Parliament of Feni-2 Constituency Nizam Uddin Hazari, Superintendent of Police Zakir Hasan, E-CAB President Shami Kaiser.

Director General (Additional Secretary) of Information and Communication Technology Department Md. Mostafa Kamal gave the welcome speech. Besides, Chaiti Saha of Feni, Israt Jahan Tanzina of Laxmipur district, Sabiha Zaman of Chandpur district spoke among the trainees.

State Minister Junaid Ahmed Palak said, the tool of global victory is a smart laptop. 20-25 lakh youth are entering the workforce every year. It is not possible to give jobs to everyone. Not everyone can move to Europe, Middle East. Then you have to create an area of ​​financial self-sufficiency in your own village. Smart Bangladesh depends on young people. Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman used to say that economic solvency is necessary for the empowerment of women.

Palak also said, "Dowry system was becoming a problem in the country. In 1996 Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's groundbreaking decision to expand women's education played a role in opposing dowry system. Once there were male teachers in primary schools. Now 60 percent are women. Women's empowerment and workplace have been created through numerous decisions of the Prime Minister. In 2008, there was no electricity in every house. Now 100% is lit by electricity. 13 crore people are connected to the internet. There has been a revolutionary change compared to 15 years ago. 2 million youths have been employed in the IT sector. We have earned 1.9 million dollars from this sector. Gifted Young people should become 10 more entrepreneurs for the welfare of the country." There are 114 Sheikh Russell Digital Labs in Feni district. State Minister Palak announced the construction of 100 more labs.

 

Member of Parliament Alauddin Ahmed Chowdhury Nasim said, "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina announced Digital Bangladesh in 2009. Then many people laughed. After 15 years, Prime Minister announced Smart Bangladesh. Short term, medium term and long term plans till 2041. Today a laptop It will inspire a young woman to keep her head high. The world has progressed in many ways. Bangladesh is not behind other countries in information technology. In the next 5 years, there will be no information-deprived people without information-rich people."

 

Member of Parliament Nizam Uddin Hazari said, "Smart citizens are needed to build a smart Bangladesh. Women as well as men are not behind. Those who are getting laptops today should play a leading role."

 

Then State Minister Palak Parashuram will visit the designated place for setting up "Sheikh Kamal IT Training and Incubation Center" adjacent to Alauddin Ahmed Nasim College of Upazila.

 

Daganbhuna Upazila Coordinator Al Imran said that 80 women are being trained in the Women IT Service Provider Course for 6 months. After the training, they will have the opportunity to become independent online and offline.
