News desk: Armed forces, police, BGB, RAB will enter the field on December 29 to control the environment of the upcoming 12th national parliament elections. They will serve as mobile and striking force for 13 days till January 10. On Thursday (December 21), the senior secretary of the public security department of the Ministry of Home Affairs. In a circular issued by Mostafizur Rahman, such instructions have been sent to all concerned.

EC Additional Secretary Ashok Kumar Debnath said that after vetting the commission, the ministry has issued a circular in this regard. It has been said that 15-16 police, Ansar and village police forces will be deployed in polling stations in metropolitan areas, outside metropolitan areas and general polling stations in hilly and remote areas and 16-17 in important polling stations. If necessary, the returning officer can increase this number. EC Additional Secretary Ashok Kumar Debnath said that 5 lakh 16 Ansar members, 1 lakh 82 thousand 91 police and RAB members, 2 thousand 350 Coast Guard members, 46 thousand 876 BGB members will be engaged in the election. Apart from this, the Principal Staff Officer of the Armed Forces recently said that 35,000 members were engaged in the 11th National Assembly elections. This time more can be deployed if needed. The 12th National Assembly election will be held on January 7. The total number of valid candidates is 1 thousand 896 with 27 parties and independent candidates.

However, this number may increase or decrease if the direction comes from the high court. There are 42 thousand 103 polling stations in the 12th National Parliament election. And the number of voters is 11 crore 96 lakh 91 thousand 633. Among them 6 crore 7 lakh 71 thousand 579 male voters and 5 crore 89 lakh 19 thousand 202 female voters. And there are 852 Hijra voters. 4 lakh 6 thousand 364 presiding officers, 2 lakh 87 thousand 722 assistant presiding officers and 5 lakh 75 thousand 443 polling officers, a total of 9 lakh 9 thousand 529 polling officers will serve in the election.
