Victory Day celebrations in Bogra

Bogra Representative: Great Victory Day was celebrated in Bogra with various events. On Saturday, Victory Day was started with 31 rounds of gunfire and hoisting of the national flag at the Bogra District School ground at sunrise. After that at 6:30 in the morning, wreaths were placed at the Shaheed Mukti Jodha memorial located at Mukti Phulbari.

In the beginning, the Deputy Commissioner Md. laid the wreath. Saiful Islam and District Superintendent of Police (Promoted Additional DIG) Sudeep Kumar Chakraborty. Later, the public, private institutions, social, cultural, political and professional organizations of the district paid tribute to the brave freedom fighters and martyrs with flowers. Meanwhile, a Victory Day parade and charming display was held at Bogra Shahid Chandu Stadium at 8 am organized by the district administration. 86 well-dressed teams participated in the parade and the display was displayed by 13 teams, most of which were creative performances of students of various ages from various educational institutions.

At the end of the parade and display, Bogra District Commissioner Saiful Islam and District Superintendent of Police (Promoted Additional DIG) Sudeep Kumar Chakraborty gave away the prizes to the winners. District Civil Surgeon Dr. Mohammad Shafiul Azam, promoted Superintendent of Police respectively Snigdh Akhtar PPM, Motahar Hossain, Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Mohammad Al Maruf, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Revenue) Nilufa Yasmin were present on this occasion. 

Additional District Commissioner (Education and ICT) Afshana Yasmin, Additional District Magistrate Majbaul Karim, Additional Superintendent of Police (Sadar Circle) Sharafat Islam, District Sports Officer Masud Rana etc. Meanwhile, this morning, Bogra district Awami League hoisted the national and party flags at the party office on Temple Road in the city on the occasion of Great Victory Day.

After that, the leaders and activists of Awami League and affiliated organizations paid tribute to the martyrs at the central Shaheed Minar in Shaheed Khokon Park. After the wreath laying, a discussion meeting was held in front of the party office. Besides, Bogra Press Club, Bogra Journalist Union, Government Azizul Haque College, Bangladesh Shishu Academy, Combined Cultural Alliance, Din Badaler Manch, Bangladesh Retired Government Employees Welfare Association besides various social and political organizations celebrated the day with due dignity.
