Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the conference of Jubo Mahila League

News desk: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the third triennial conference of Awami League's affiliate Jubo Mahila League at the historic Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital.

Awami League President came on stage at 12 noon on Thursday (December 15). After that, the conference was raised by flying balloons and pigeons during the national anthem.

Thousands of leaders and workers of Dhaka Metropolitan North and Dhaka Metropolitan South Jubo Mahila League came to Suhrawardy Udyan to attend the conference. Crowds of leaders and activists gathered in front of the entrance gates. Then they started marching and shouting slogans while standing there.

On the other hand, law and order forces did not take any initiative to control vehicles in Dhaka University area around this conference. In front of Shahbagh National Museum, VC Chatwar, Doel Chatwar area barrier was not seen in the previous function of ruling party centered on Suhrawardy Udyan. Traffic was also normal.

On March 17, 2017, the last conference of Jubo Mahila League was held. In this, Nazma Akhter was re-elected as President and Apu Ukil as General Secretary.

On July 6, 2002, Awami League president and then opposition leader and current Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina formed Jubo Mahila League with former leaders of Chhatra League. The main goal was to unite the women's society under the banner of this organization and overcome all obstacles to advance the path of political, social and economic liberation of women.

At the same time, strengthening Sheikh Hasina's hand in building the golden Bangladesh of the father of the nation's dream by standing against all tyranny-irregularities including terrorism, militancy, corruption of the then BNP-Jamaat coalition government.
